QA Manager

GRIN is seeking a QA Manager, with hands-on testing experience, who has worked with enterprise-level SaaS platforms. The right person for this role has strong attention to detail, drives to obtain a high level of quality, and strives to launch products in an Agile environment without compromising on standards of excellence. They will collaborate with the design, development, and product management teams to build well-organized test plans and new product releases.


The QA Manager will be responsible for building and managing a highly capable team of QA engineers to ensure we are shipping high-quality products and features, in a fast-moving, progressive work environment. This role will be both responsible and accountable for the rigor of quality in our software from the perspective of various users.

What You'll Do:

  • Build, lead, and hire a high-caliber team of QA engineers while being a hands-on leader.
  • Be responsible and accountable for establishing quality standards and assessing the software quality at GRIN.
  • Track Internal QA Metrics to maintain quality standards and prevent regression of bugs
  • Interact with product and development teams to translate requirements and/or technical specifications into test cases
  • Support continuous improvement processes, analyzing problems, recommending actions for effective resolution, and implement them with industry-standard best practices
  • Define and direct the overall test strategy and test plans for the applications, and presenting them to the key stakeholders


What You'll Bring:

  • 8+ years of software quality test planning, test case creation, manual testing, creating issue tickets, and collaborating in an Agile QA process.
  • Experience managing a QA team in a Saas environment.
  • Experience testing large-scale applications, SaaS applications in the cloud (AWS a plus!), or large, distributed systems.
  • Experience performing integration testing with ecommerce platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in software environments that have a high volume of daily production releases is a plus.
  • Able to motivate a team, recognize good talent and bring the best out of your team.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
