    GRIN is seeking an extraordinary VP of Finance & Operations who will oversee and grow the Finance, Accounting, HR, Talent Acquisition, and Operations teams while reporting to the COO. You will be responsible for the development of the company’s financial strategy and contribute to the development of the company’s strategic goals, while leading financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and creating and maintaining budgeting systems. In addition to the strategic components, the Vice President of Finance & Operations will be charged with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and procedures both in the finance and general operational realms, including people operations, legal, and facilities. A combination of creativity and ambition alongside a strong track record of problem-solving and change management will be critical in this exciting, new role.


    Essential Functions:

    • Leading and managing the finance & operations teams, while holding them accountable to the targets set inside the organization
    • Being a strategic partner to the Founders, other Executive Team members, and the Board, while owning the financial planning & analysis process inside the company
    • Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support the company’s growth
    • Working with investors and venture capital firms
    • Representing the company externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and lease negotiations
    • Owning the forecasting process across all functions to ensure an accurate, always up to date operating model
    • Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
    • Implementing financial controls across all functions to manage and control costs
    • Owning risk mitigation for the entire organization (Operations & HR) to ensure a vibrant and happy workforce while mitigating risk
    • Planning, coordinating, and executing the annual budgeting process. You will also own all audit processes inside the company
    • Collaborating with colleagues to implement new processes and organizational routines that maximize internal efficiency and external impact
    • All other duties as assigned


    • 10+ years of experience in business, finance and operations (required); 3+ years in one or more roles managing internal operations (preferred)
    • MBA preferred
    • Recent experience scaling a finance team from $5 million to $50 million+ in annual revenues
    • Experience in a SaaS company required
    • Expert in financial analysis and forecasting, including experience with three statement financial modeling, preparing statistical reports and making recommendations based on analysis and research
    • Experience in a startup/high growth environment required
    • Strong knowledge of corporate finance and other accounting theory, principles and practices to include GAAP, SaaS accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Stock-Based Compensation,and benefits planning
    • Understanding of modern “Revenue Operations” in B2B SaaS preferred
    • You have been through later stage growth financing rounds (Series B-D)
    • Proven experience in building teams and organizations in dynamic/high-growth environments
    • Experience in pricing structure and pricing strategy a bonus
    • Experience in compensation plan development, especially variable and bonus structures for sales and customer success departments required
    • Strong process skills
    • Deep appreciation and comfort with analytical rigor and clarity
    • Sharp communication skills including excellence in writing and presenting
